I grew up with 5 younger siblings, my parents in Åmål, located in the region of Dalsland in Sweden. From a very young age, I was interested in health. I would constantly ask my mom, “Why does it hurt? What does it look like inside?” She did her best to answer, but eventually, she would say, “I don’t know, I’m not a doctor.”
My mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. During medical appointments, the focus was on specific body parts. She also visited alternative practitioners, and for me, that approach felt more right, considering the whole person. At the age of 11, I already knew I wanted to work in health, encompassing the entire individual.
I initially studied physiotherapy in Boden to have a traditional medical background. Later, I moved to Norway and worked there for 6 years – first in a nursing home in Narvik, then in occupational health in Bodø, and finally at a private clinic in Bergen while simultaneously competing internationally in Boogie Woogie.
In 2005, I met my current husband at a physiotherapy event where he introduced Salli Saddle Chairs salli.com. Since then, I have been working on ergonomics, lecturing worldwide, and helping many achieve better sitting health.
When I was finally ready to have children, it didn’t happen. I became pregnant on the first IVF attempt at 38, but only the placenta had developed; there was no fetus. We tried many more times without success, experiencing a rollercoaster of hope and despair.
At the age of 42, I had already entered menopause. Hot flashes, dry mucous membranes, rosacea, night sweats, frequent nighttime bathroom visits – my good night’s sleep was gone. I became increasingly interested in how hormones affect health and decided to follow my heart. I enrolled in the Institute for Complementary Hormone Therapy (functional medicine). After two years of study in Danish, I graduated in October 2021.
I’m excited to help others, both women and men, experiencing stress, digestive issues, fertility challenges, perimenopause, menopause, andropause (male menopause), weight concerns, fatigue, PMS, acne, eczema, pain, inflammation, thyroid problems, heavy bleeding, menstrual pain, or those simply wanting to optimize their health.
After a thorough analysis of your health status, I tailor a program based on your current body conditions. This evolves as your body heals, and you learn more about yourself. I’ll be there as a supportive hand throughout your journey. Feel free to book a free consultation. “Link”
